OPERATIONS MANAGER Sector: Oil & Gas

Work Location: Dar es Salaam

Job purpose

Oversee and coordinate operations activities ensuring that supply and distribution of fuel meets business requirements this include bulk fuel purchase, road transport operations, depots operations, engineering projects, asset integrity management and HSSE

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Supply and Distribution (SD) and engineering activities in Tanzania are carried out in accordance with Group standards and guidelines
• Manage the Road transport activity for the country in line with the Road Transport policy
• Coordinate the supply of product with the Petroleum Bulk Procurement Agency to ensure competitive product is available at all times
• Fulfill all service level agreements with Cob (Retail, Fuels and Global Lubricants) in order to maintain and develop the customer base
• Manage the Opex in Supply and distribution function in order to optimize unit cost per volume delivered
• Manage stock levels of all products to optimize working capital.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or related
• 8+ years working experience within oil and gas sector
• Excellent knowledge of Depot Operations, Supply logistics and transportation preferably within oil and gas industry
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Demonstrable knowledge in management of Road Transport operations
• Excellent knowledge of HSSE policies and practices
• Ability to engage and manage relationship with key stakeholders including Government bodies, JV and internal departments
