Call For Proposal: Endline Survey For “Make It Grow! Hortculture For Economic Sustainability In Zanzibar

 

Background

 

Trias is a Belgian international development organization headquartered in Brussels. Trias’ core business focuses on the sustainable livelihood security of entrepreneurial people (small-scale farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs). Currently, Trias supports more than one million family farmers and small entrepreneurs in seventeen countries, spread across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In Tanzania, Trias is active in 11 districts in Arusha and Manyara regions and Zanzibar.

Trias Tanzania recently completed an EU-funded Programme called “Make it grow! Horticulture for sustainable economic development in Zanzibar(Unguja and Pemba)”, which was implemented in collaboration with the Tanzania Horticulture Association (TAHA), the German Andreas Hermes Akademie (AHA), and the Government of Zanzibar(national level) over a period of A years.

  1. The purpose of the end-line survey

 

The purpose of this end-line survey is to assess the overall relevance of the interventions in achieving the Programme’s planned objectives. The consultant will be required to collect the end-line data on the indicators of the Programme to measure the performance of the Programme against the baseline study.

 

The specific objectives of the end-line survey are the following:

  1. To perform an in-depth analysis of data to be benchmarked against the baseline and midterm information under SO 1,2, & 3.
  2. To develop complete survey methodologies including field test questionnaires for the identified indicators.
  3. To assess the Programme approaches during the implementation of the Programme activities
  1. To build a toolkit to collect performance data to be gauged against the baseline and midterm data to assess the progress of the Programme.
  2. To organize a validation workshop of the end­line survey results which will be attended by Trias, TAHA, Agri-connect technical assistant, and the representatives from the Government of Zanzibar and partners.
  3. To develop the final end-line report of the Programme which illustrates the performance and progress of the MIG Project under the Agri Connect Programme.

The consultant should submit their proposal using Trias’ template to tanzania@trias.ngo The link for the applicants to access the template and other documents will be shared.

  1. Budget

 

The preliminary timeframe for the assignment will be three months (Starting date to be communicated). The total budget available for this assignment is 21,000 Euro for all expenses related to the study, except those of Trias and TAHA staff.

 

The proposal shall be submitted by email to Trias Tanzania by 20th July 2024, with the subject line “End­line Survey – MIG project, “Name of the consultant(s)”. The Applications received afterthis deadline will not be considered.
