Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Chef in a camp at Serengeti National Park. The Assistant Chef will be responsible for assisting the head chef with preparing and cooking meals for guests, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. The Camp Assistant Chef will also be responsible for maintaining food and kitchen inventory and communicating with other staff members to ensure that meals are prepared on time.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a chef or in a kitchen environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other staff members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read and follow recipes as well as create new dishes
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Flexibility to work in different shifts as needed
• Culinary degree or equivalent experience is a plus
