ASSISTANT QUALITY MANAGER

Sector: Agriculture/Coffee Trading

Job Purpose

Enhance and improve conformity and compliance to quality standards through implementation of quality assurance management system   that ensures Company’s coffee products meet requirements

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the collection of offer & Auction sample
• Analyze Auction catalogue and share with the Quality Manager for review
• Keep accurate records of all cupping sessions (auction, offer, pre-shipment, shipment and arrival samples)
• Monitoring that the right samples are sent to customers in a timely and cost- efficient manner.
• Follow up on samples feedback sent to clients as per set target
• Assist in the provision of qualities and bulks
• Give processing and bulking instructions to Production team
• Support on blending to enhance company’s profit
• Check daily processing samples and bulking lots on the production floor and provide approval before stuffing
• Confirm quality baskets after processing for both clean and reject
• Assist in capturing all QC related entries in AX
• Assist in weekly stock reconciliation with the warehouse team
• Ensure Quality and Food Safety along with other HSEQ protocols are followed within the QC department.

Requirements

• Diploma/degree in Quality Assurance or equivalent
• Quality Grader Certified or pursuing through a recognized Institution
• Possess Liquorer License from Tanzania Coffee Board
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in coffee quality analysis
• Demonstrate leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
